Sedona Arts Center invites you along to be inspired and experience master artists painting in the Shangri-La of the Southwest! Sedona is a sublime and stunningly beautiful environment steeped in art history. Sedona Arts Center dates back 65 years to the founding of Sedona’s identity as an ‘art colony.’ Our community’s iconic and wonderfully creative event—Sedona Plein Air Festival—is a week-long celebration of extraordinary landscapes, world-renowned artists, unique workshops, and wonderful free events.
Plein Air—the act of painting outdoors.
For 20 years, artists from around the country have visited the red rocks of Sedona to capture their magnificence in oils, acrylics, watercolor and pastel. Between October 18th-26th, you’ll see 23 of the finest painters—each with their own style and perspective—peppered throughout Sedona with their easels, paints and brushes to capture the essence of this magical and beautiful area.
As artists create paintings over the course of the week, they will be framed and displayed for sale in Sedona Arts Center’s Art Barn. We welcome you to visit the Art Barn during business hours from October 18-26, to see the new (and still wet!) paintings being created each day.

The public is invited to meet the artists in this informal opening at the Art Barn. This will also be an opportunity for the artists to get to know each other to start the week. And an opportunity for first sales!

D.A.Ranch Paint Out

Artists paint in select areas on the grounds of D.A.Ranch from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Awards and sale starting at 6:30 p.m.

New Paint Out location this year! Nestled between Oak Creek and House Mountain, D.A.Ranch is a beautiful, high-desert oasis with a historic red barn, farm animals, green pastures, majestic old-growth trees, glimmering ponds, ripe fruit and olive orchards, and over 9 acres of estate vineyards. Artists and guests will delight in exploring the grounds, sampling D.A.Ranch’s fine wines and great food by Heartline Catering. Limited tickets for the public are available for this special event. Artists paint in select areas on the grounds of a beautiful private residence off of Red Rock Loop from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Awards and sale starting at 6:30 p.m. Limited tickets for the public are available for this special event.
