Isabel Simmer is on the Board of Directors and represented the Fine Art Gallery. Izzy is a knitter of gorgeous, colorful high end garments that will make you feel beautiful inside and out. She loves creating with quality fibers like alpaca, merino, silk to produce a variety of fiber art.
Each stitch is a meditation and a message of love. She thrives on the experience of knitting every single stitch thinking about the finished garment and the person who will wear it. Whenever someone puts on one of her shawls, it is like being wrapped up in a warm hug. It is the little acts of creative love like this that make her happy.
Whenever Izzy travels, she sniffs out the best yarn shops from Taos to Toronto, to Scotland and back to her local knit shop in Sedona. Then she goes into the shops and touches everything, finds what is unique and then scarfs it up!!! Literally!
Having learned to knit at the age of 5 from her grandmother, Izzy believes it is important to teach others and share her love of knitting. She is never too busy to fix a stitch, share a pattern, or answer a question.
