Description

The Fahan Mura Cross can be found at the site of the ruined church od St Mura in Donegal, Ireland. This Celtic grave stone can be traced back to the early 8th Century and stand over 2 meters in height.

St Mura was born in County Donegal circa 550 AD and is regarded as the patron saint of the O’Neil’s, once the high kings of Ireland. Mura’s feast day is observed each year on March 12.
