Description
“Flying Over the Underground” by Mary Helsaple
The earth holds a bounty above ground and below. During 5 months of the year insects, lizards, squirrels, and small mammals live and sleep quietly unnoticed until Spring. It must be nice to fly above the flowers, enjoying the sun and abundance of nectar until choosing the right spot to land. Not earth-bound like the sleeping seeds and pollen collectors tucked among the stones, dreaming of the time to emerge.
