This cross design is derived from Navajo rug patterns created by weavers in the small community of Ganado, New Mexico.
John J. Hubble founded a trading post at Ganado. He encouraged native craftsmen and brought Navajo weaving and silver work to the attention of the general public. Today, Ganado rugs are known and collected throughout the world.
