Description
This cross is a reproduction in silver of an ancient stone image found in the oratory graveyard of Kilcananagh, Iris Meanin, the middle of the three Aran Islands 30 miiles off the west coast of Ireland.
This 12th century cross combines the symbols of the Virgin Mary, (the star and t he crecent moon) with a traditional cross.
These symbols go further back in history as the symbols for the goddess aisis.
