Description
This cross is a contemporary design inspired by a bas-relief on an outer wall of the Basillica of Sacred Cœur in Paris, France.
It is a combination of several symbols-the Sacred Heart, a traditional cross, and a sea shell. The shell is a symbol of pilgramage and is most often seen as part of Spanish crosses, particularly those concerned with the pilgram’s trail to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, the burial place of St. James.
