Description
St. Genevieve is the Patron Saint of Paris. She was born in the village of Nanterre near Paris and died in 507. She was chiefly instrumental in banishing paganism from Paris. The procession of the relics of St. Genevieve through Paris is believed to have ended an epidemic, thus she is the special saint prayed to during disasters and fevers.
The Feast Day of St.Genevieve is January 3rd. She was not martyred, but died of natural causes.
