Description
The Citadel
This photo was shot at The White Pocket, part of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. It was taken in late August when the Milky Way is nearly vertical in the sky. The White Pocket usually has water during the summer months. The deeper pools often have male toads croaking loudly for mates after a heavy rain. Due to deep sand The White Pocket is only accessible with a high clearance 4WD vehicle. I usually dry camp over night at The White Pocket. This allows me to shoot at both sunrise and sunset.
