The White Horses of the Camargue

The Camargue is a region in the south of France. The Camargue horse, one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world, has lived in the Camargue marshes and wetlands for thousands of years and has historical ties to the local community, where families have worked with the breed for generations. Although they are technically wild, their living among humans for thousands of years have made them friendly to visitors and wildlife watchers.
